Spawn after a Thunder Storm

Last night we had a bit of a storm move though the Clinton lake area. Nothing to major but enough to mess with the fish as morning lows fell to around 50. This resulting in the hot fishing changing dramatically for many people. As we pulled up to the ramp about 9 am several people where pulling off the lake telling the fishing was bad. Once we where on the lake it didn’t take long for us to see that the fish where not up shallow and that bobber and jig was no the answer. Having been through this before we decided to pull off the spawning banks to the 7 to 10 ft range and pitch some jigs to see what happen and it didn’t take long to find out the fish where there and hunger. We worked our way along rock banks tossing jigs up to the shallow and slowly bouncing the jigs off the bottom all the way back to the boat. About every third cast you would have a fish on. Over the next 5 hours the action stayed steady and filled out our 60 fish limit. The color didn’t seem to matter and the water temp was 65 to 68.
