Crappie Spawn Postmortem

The 2016 crappie spawn can be summed up in many word curse word but F-ed up is the best way to put it. We started the spawn early and warm then went cold and finally it decided to set on a pattern staying windy and wet. High water finished out the last few weeks of the spawn making most lakes un-fishable. About the only lake we could stay on them was Hillsdale since it only flooded about 3 ft high this year. The fish stayed true to pattern spawning in 10 to 12 ft of water and red and chartreuse was the color they wanted the most just bouncing it along the bottom. Here are some picture for our adventures.
