Crushed Limestone Roads

One of the things I love about living in Kansas is the sunsets we get on a nightly basis. I was back in my families home town of Glasco Kansas spending some time with my Aunt Donna tonight before we head out for the pheasant opener Saturday. I got to scratch an itch I have always wanted to do by watch the sun set on the top of White Hill just north of town. Thankfully she is just as adventurous as I am happily joined me. We spent some time driving the old dirt road I grew up hunting and then stopped to watch the sun set below the ridge as a cool wind shifted out of the north. Ah Kansas, the beauty you hold. Thanks Aunt Donna for playing along.

Thanks for the pictures. They are getting me excited for this weekend. I grew up in Jewell and Mitchell counties, and I’ll be back out there this weekend for the opener not far from you–hunting in areas north of Glen Elder. I can’t wait to take in the crushed limestone roads, sunrises, and sunsets for myself. Good luck.
