Saving the Best for Last Louisiana Day 3

Our last day in LA founds us on a search for Reds. Wanting to find that elusive fight our plan was to hit the marsh first thing in the morning looking for tailing reds. But… as always Mother Nature had other plans. As we hit the bay we realized that the south wind form the the night before coupled with a full moon tide had the marsh out of it’s banks. There was so much water the redfish where spread out to thin to even see tailing. We only managed a few on spoons before we decided to call that plan off and go chase some Bulls. After a nice lunch we head off to a well known pass that was pulling a lot of tide hoping for some bulls to show up. With in minutes of the first cast Benton had his first big fight. For the next few hours we worked our way through 40+ inch ¬†Redfish and black drum. What a day and end of the trip!
